"Working with Femi over the past 11 coaching sessions has been incredibly valuable."
He has helped me gain much greater clarity around my professional and personal goals, and I always leave sessions feeling more motivated and focused. As someone working in a corporate middle-management role, I’ve particularly benefited from Femi’s experience and coaching ability to help me identify what genuinely interests me, what stops me, and how to overcome those barriers so I can take the next step in my career. It’s been a real pleasure being coached by Femi.MARTIN P.

Femi Ogunyemi
Founder & Leadership Coach
Before founding Afemo Consulting, I worked at Marks & Spencer UK and Shell International, leading and collaborating with multinational teams across cultures and time zones. That experience taught me how organisations function under pressure, how leaders influence culture, and how strategy is translated into real business goals, targets and results. However, my personal reason for coaching started much earlier.Early in my own leadership journey, I lost my confidence.I was led by inexperienced leaders who didn’t know how to bring people along with them, and over time, I became the quiet manager in the room who doubted everything I had to offer. Everything changed when I experienced what real leadership looked like.Strong leadership and great people management transformed me from a middle manager who was lacking confidence, into an energised senior leader managing global teams across multiple countries. That transformation is why I coach today.I know what it feels like to doubt yourself as a manager or leader and I also know what becomes possible when the right leadership coaching and support helps you grow in confidence, clarity
and capability.

Gael Ogunyemi
Executive Coach & Burnout Specialist
Gael’s path into coaching was shaped by burnout. She is a qualified executive coach and seasoned senior leader with decades of experience steering businesses and teams. Specializing in leadership resilience, imposter syndrome, and burnout. As a high performer, Gael rose quickly to become a hospital director in public and private health care at Ramsay Health care, Centre for sight and in Lambeth for the NHS:The relentless pace of constant pressure, responsibility and problem-solving eventually led to burnout at work. Her recovery changed the direction of her career. Gael trained as an executive coach and has spent several years helping other leaders recognize the signs of burnout early, build resilience and maintain high performance without sacrificing their wellbeing.Today, she brings warmth, depth and first-hand understanding to every coaching relationship. Having lived through the highs and lows of demanding leadership roles, she leverages her real-world experience and professional coaching qualifications to help leaders reclaim their confidence, recalibrate their focus, and ensure their personal capacity stays ahead of professional demands. Her approach to burnout coaching and resilience training is practical, compassionate and grounded in lived experience.
We are proud members of:
Experience & Credentials
Together, we bring:
20+ years of leadership coaching and mentoring
25+ years of senior leadership experience
UK, US, and Europe International leadership experience
"I started working with Gael at a time where I felt that I had stagnated in my career and wasn't sure on what my next steps should be or where to go."
Gael helped me realise I was showing signs of burnout and was still struggling with some challenges I had faced in the past. Gael seemed to grasp where I was at almost instantly, and in just a few sessions helped me understand the issues I was facing. She helped me to identify the parts of my role I really enjoyed and re-discover what being a leader meant to me. I started to focus on what I had control of, rather than stressing out about what everyone thought of me, and realised at times it was only me holding myself back! ... I can highly recommend her if you are a senior manager or leader looking to achieve your best self. Thank you Gael, you gave me back so much joy & sense of achievement in my career!EMMA

"I reached out for a coach after experiencing some challenging situations at work, and struggled to navigate through them. Working with Gael has been a hugely beneficial experience. When we began, I was struggling with self-belief and unsure of how to elevate my profile both within my immediate team, and the wider business.
Through thoughtful guidance, insightful feedback, and a deeply empathetic approach, Gael has helped me uncover strengths I hadn’t appreciated I had and has taught me how to leverage them effectively."ALI P.
“I have really enjoyed the coaching sessions I had with Femi. His manner is friendly and approachable and I always felt that he gave me space to express myself and really listened to what I was saying. I have been able to set and stick to some simple and realistic health goals that I still carry out today. Through his questions I was able to come up with my own plan which has really helped me to slowly but surely develop new healthier habits. I would definitely recommend him as a coach."DOROTHY B.
